Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Tehachapi

Front desk staff were very friendly, and got me checked in and out quickly. Room was nice, with plenty of space. Bathroom is huge, and room had two TVs - one in a sitting area, one in the bed area. They were doing some type of construction, so notices were posted when there would be no hot water, not a huge issue. -1 star for location only because of the trains coming through at night could be heard quite well in the room, and their blaring horns kept me up.

Great stay, great location for a small town. Easy access to everything. Nice rooms and grounds.

Rooms are cozy. wifi worked good. Staff are friendly. Quiet. Breakfast was good plenty of choices. Short walk to downtown. I would stay again for sure.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Tehachapi for my son's wedding. The hotel is approximately 10 years old. The elevators are a bit scary as they make some very strange noises. Andrea checked us in and was very professional and nice. The rooms are well appointed and clean and the views of the mountains are nice. The downfall is the train that goes by all night long and sounds like it is coming through the room. The conductor blows that horn starting at approximately a mile away and all the way through. The walls are a bit thin and the refrigerator hummed and squealed all night long. Needless to say the Marriott chain hotels are still our favorites. The breakfast buffet was a nice touch and the front counter staff and housekeeping are very professional, kind and accommodating.

The geometry of the bathroom was kind of weird with the shower behind the door, but otherwise the rooms were nice. Breakfast was good, front desk people were nice and helpful, super convenient location a few blocks from downtown. I was puzzled by the insistence that we had to park our moving van on the street out front instead of in the parking lot, where there was plenty of space; I know it's kind of an inconveniently large vehicle, we of course followed this instruction regardless, but I feel like that made it more, rather than less, in other people's way?

My three kiddos and I came to Tehachapi for a little getaway before school started. The room was big and clean although the carpet was pretty filthy. After my youngest spilt some water we soaked it up but the towel picked up all the dirt in the floor. Eww We had 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. The sleeper was really tiny even for my two little ones. The TV for some reason would not get the cartoon network channel. The pool was indoors which was the selling point for us. It was a great temperature but the tile definitely needed to be cleaned. Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. The breakfast was a huge hit for my kids. Waffles for the win! The sweetheart preparing the breakfast was so kind to my disabled son. She told me she had a daughter with DS who was in heaven. She was such a joy to encounter. Hugs mama! The nearly $200 a night price was really high but overall it was comparable to the other local hotels.

Very nice and super clean. The kitchen staff are a bit slow with restocking the free breakfast in the dining room, but all are very friendly. It's a dead spot for cell service though inside the hotel. If you walk out of the hotel, you're fine. It's a nice hotel and very convenient in Tehachapi.

We were in town for a funeral and stayed at Fairfield. The staff was extremely friendly and polite; the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good. We had a very pleasant stay while in town.
